Happy 2026! I am so excited for this upcoming tax season!
Many changes were legislated July 4, 2025. Due to this, we are requesting additional documents to ensure we take full advantage of this new code.
In addition to the documents you typically bring, please also bring/send/upload your last pay stub of 2025 so we can calculate overtime and tip income deduction. For the new vehicle loan interest deduction, the car must have been purchased in 2025 and we will need the last car loan interest statement for 2025 as well as the vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle.
This letter will give you all the information needed for us to be on the same page when you call or arrive at the office.
Because of your referrals, we keep growing! Thank you for the trust you place in us year after year. We are changing things up a bit to help me be most efficient and effective in providing the best service I can while keeping your tax preparation as painless and fun as possible.
Review appointments are designed to have the tax preparation finished before we meet. Each appointment will take less time but is more efficient in how we spend our time. For this to happen we need your documents before your appointment. About 2 weeks after we have your documents we will call and schedule a time to review your prepared return. My goal is to schedule your appointment within 3 weeks of your drop off. These appointments will be about 20 minutes long and allow me to chat with each of you, answer questions, and provide tax advice on your return. If your time, geography, tax return complexities, or personal preference dictate we will continue to offer preparation appointments.
If you are a client with brokerage statements, often not received until mid-March, please drop off or upload all other documents with a note to hold for your brokerage statement. This will allow us to prepare your return to the point of adding that final document and hopefully, allow us to file your return by the April deadline.
If we receive your documents after March 12, 2026, it is likely we will need to file an extension on your behalf. PLEASE note, an extension is an extension of time to file, not an extension of time to pay. If you believe you will owe federal or state income tax, I recommend making a payment when the extension is filed. If your documents are received after March 12, 2025, we will not be able to estimate your taxes due.
Tax documents can be:
1) Dropped off during office hours (no appointment is necessary).
*We have added Saturday hours to make drop off during office hours more accessible. When dropping off to my staff, they will verify your current information to ensure the tax return is accurate and the documents we need are in our possession.
2) Uploaded to your secure portal which will be linked to your personalized organizer. Please watch your email for a personalized e-organizer to help you with collection of tax documents. If you do not receive an email from us by February 2, 2026, and you would like an electronic organizer please call or email the office to provide your email address.
*After uploading ALL documents please email info@boschtaxservices.com to let us know you are ready for us to prepare your return. If we do not receive an email letting us know your upload is complete, we will not begin processing your return to ensure we are only working on complete uploads.
3) Mail documents to the office.
4) Call 859-746-0215 or email info@boschtaxservices.com to schedule an appointment for preparation (see note about preparation versus review appointments)
Once we have your documents, we will begin preparation. We are usually on a 3-week delay from receipt of documents to review, signature, and efiling.
Office days/hours
